Since 2004, Jennifer has maintained a law practice focused on commercial and residential real estate, commercial leasing and corporate commercial matters. Most of her career has been spent in-house in corporate counsel roles supporting the needs of various business units including providing corporate strategic initiatives and legal expertise. Jennifer has also worked with many startups and entrepreneurs looking to scale their business and has extensive experience representing clients on several development projects, leading or assisting with negotiations of dispositions, acquisitions and leasing of commercial, industrial and residential properties. Her many years of working outside of private practice have provided her with a unique approach to the provision of legal services.

Jennifer and I met back in 2016 while we both worked for one of the largest franchisor in the quick service restaurant industry. In January 2022, I’ve assisted Jennifer in establishing Legal Lab and since then, I’ve had the privilege of helping shape the firm’s residential real estate practice from the ground up. Before being called to the Bar in 2021, I had already been deeply immersed in real estate transactions dating back to 2015, when I led the pre-construction division of my family’s real estate company. This early, hands-on experience gave me a unique, full-spectrum perspective on residential real estate, from initial purchase through to final closing, and assisting clients with their financing needs, which now informs every deal I support.
Today, I lead Legal Lab’s Residential Real Estate and Mortgage Practice. I work closely with clients across a range of residential transactions, offering strategic legal guidance through all stages of the deal. Whether navigating first-time buyers, managing tight timelines, or untangling complex issues, my focus remains on delivering tailored, practical solutions to ensure a successful and stress-free closing.
My goal is simple: to ensure the legal side of a residential real estate transaction, whether that be a refinance, sale or purchase, feels clear, in control, and confidently managed, every step of the way.
Hila

Bio & Experience
Hila Taraky is a business lawyer who carries on a focused practice in commercial real estate and business transactions. Hila specializes in land development and corporate transactions and particularly enjoys advising developers and builders from the initial structuring of development projects to the registration of condominiums and subdivisions. Her expertise includes negotiating and establishing joint venture structures, partnerships and co-ownership arrangements for the operation and management of land development projects. Hila enjoys working with her clients’ accountants, planners, surveyors and engineers to diligently move projects forward to draft plan approval and registration.
Hila is also a trusted advisor to business clients in regulated industries, the technology sector, churches and service sectors. Whether Hila is providing legal advice on land development or corporate matters, the advice is timely, strategic, cost-effective and adds real value to her clients’ businesses.
Prior to Hila’s call to the Bar of Ontario in 2017, Hila devoted her professional and academic efforts to public policy and immigration policy with a focus on the economic integration of immigrants in Canada. Hila’s academic interests resulted in numerous peer reviewed publications. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum Canada – Toronto Chapter and served on the Board of the Hamilton Health Sciences for many years. Hila is a proud alumna of McMaster University and the Toronto Metropolitan University. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor.
Delana Zamparo

Delana completed her law degree in 2021 at the University of Toronto. Her areas of practice focus primarily on franchise law, corporate/commercial law, and commercial leasing work.
Delana works alongside both franchisors and franchisees to help them navigate all aspects of the franchise relationship and ensure compliance with statutory regulations surrounding franchise disclosure, franchise agreements, and ongoing operational matters. Delana also engages in considerable commercial leasing work, taking a detailed approach to the drafting, review and negotiation of complex commercial leases for both landlords and tenants, with a focus on implementing structures and terms that best support our clients interests. Her corporate practice spans from setting up the initial structures of businesses through incorporation through to transactional work. Delana regularly assists entrepreneurs and business owners with structuring their businesses for growth, managing compliance requirements, and protecting their commercial interests.
In addition to her legal practice, Delana has over 13 years of experience as the owner and operator of a successful swim school in Vaughan. Her entrepreneurial background provides her with a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing business owners.
Delana is passionate about bridging her business expertise and passions with her legal training to help clients not only navigate legal obligations but also achieve long-term success in highly competitive industries.
Garathi Khanna

Garathi is a lawyer practicing in the areas of residential and commercial real estate law. She advises clients on a broad range of real estate transactions, including the purchase and sale of residential homes, condominiums, multi-unit properties, and commercial buildings, as well as mortgage financing and title-related matters.
With a client-focused and detail-oriented approach, Garathi works closely with individuals, real estate agents, lenders, and businesses to ensure transactions are completed efficiently. She is known for providing clear, practical advice at every stage of the transaction, from contract review to closing.
Garathi regularly handles title searches, reviews and negotiates agreements of purchase and sale, drafts extension agreements and facilitates smooth and timely closings. She is committed to delivering responsive service and ensuring that clients feel informed and supported throughout the process.
Garathi earned her Law Degree from the University of Leeds and obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University. While in law school, she finished as a finalist in the National Negotiation Competition in the U.K.

Pamela joined Legal Lab in August 2022 and is our lead commercial real estate clerk. Pamela has over 10 years of real estate experience and handles acquisitions, dispositions and refinancing files.
Klara Lallinaj
Real Estate Clerk
Bio & Experience
Klara is a licensed paralegal and real estate clerk. She joined our firm in June 2023. Klara assists our team with residential interim closings as well as commercial refinance transactions, acquisitions and dispositions.
Rhea Guevara

Rhea Guevara is a licensed REALTOR® with over five years of experience helping clients navigate residential real estate transactions. Currently completing her Bachelor of Paralegal Studies at Humber College, Rhea brings a strong foundation in real estate processes and legal documentation to her role at Legal Lab. Rhea supports the Legal Lab team with a detail-oriented and client-focused approach, combining her industry knowledge with developing legal expertise to ensure smooth and efficient closings.
