Since 2004, Jennifer has maintained a law practice focused on commercial and residential real estate, commercial leasing and corporate commercial matters. Most of her career has been spent in-house in corporate counsel roles supporting the needs of various business units including providing corporate strategic initiatives and legal expertise. Jennifer has also worked with many startups and entrepreneurs looking to scale their business and has extensive experience representing clients on several development projects, leading or assisting with negotiations of dispositions, acquisitions and leasing of commercial, industrial and residential properties. Her many years of working outside of private practice have provided her with a unique approach to the provision of legal services.

Sumeet possesses extensive expertise in successfully concluding pre-construction real estate transactions and acquiring land for the purpose of development. His professional background also encompasses Corporate Immigration, where he collaborated with mid-size corporations to secure approvals for employing foreign skilled workers, addressing staffing needs within expanding businesses.
Committed to delivering effective and pragmatic solutions for clients dealing with both business and legal challenges, Sumeet excels in achieving optimal outcomes amidst complexities and tight deadlines. Prior to entering the legal field, he served as the Director of Operations for a dynamic real estate startup based in Toronto, contributing to its growth for five years.
Driven by a passion for real estate law and a determination to positively impact clients and their enterprises, Sumeet transitioned to the legal profession, ultimately being called to the Bar in 2022.

Hila Taraky is a business lawyer who carries on a focused practice in land development, commercial real estate and business transactions. Hila offers legal advice to developers and builders from the initial structuring of development projects to the registration of condominiums and subdivisions. Hila’s expertise includes negotiating and establishing joint venture structures, partnerships and co-ownership arrangements for the operation and management of land development projects. Hila enjoys working with her clients’ accountants, planners, surveyors and engineers to diligently move projects forward to draft plan approval and registration.
Hila is also a trusted advisor to business clients in regulated industries, the technology sector and service sectors. She is determined and nimble when tackling the purchase and sale of businesses and offers tactical support from the LOI and due diligence stages of an acquisition to the negotiation and drafting of the share and asset purchase agreements. Whether Hila is providing legal advice on operational processes or assisting with corporate governance matters, the advice is timely, strategic, cost-effective and adds real value to her clients’ businesses.
Hila rounds out her real estate and business law practice by acting for institutional lenders, credit unions and private lenders as well as borrowers on a wide variety of financing transactions.
Prior to Hila’s call to the Bar of Ontario in 2017, Hila devoted her professional and academic efforts to public policy and immigration policy with a focus on the economic integration of immigrants in Canada. Hila’s academic interests resulted in numerous peer reviewed publications. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hamilton Health Sciences and a member of the International Women’s Forum Canada – Toronto Chapter. Hila is a proud alumna of McMaster University and the Toronto Metropolitan University. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor.

For the past 12 years, Delana has owned and operated a successful swim school in Vaughan, cultivating her entrepreneurial spirit and a love for client-facing work. She is committed to bridging her business expertise with her passion for legal advocacy as she begins her legal career.

Sandra Gill
Senior Corporate and Commercial Real Estate Clerk

Sandra joins us from a mid-size law firm and has over 25 years of experience in M&A Transactions, Commercial Real Estate and Secured Lending Transactions. Sandra works closely with Jennifer and Sumeet on all corporate transactions, including complex M&A Transactions, commercial financing matters, incorporations, corporate amendments, continuances, dissolutions, corporate reorganizations and corporate maintenance. Sandra has extensive experience in drafting complex share attributes for complex incorporations and amendments. Sandra has been a member of The Institution of Law Clerks of Ontario since 1995. Sandra also leads our “special projects” and is an indispensable member of our team.

Shirisha is our lead residential clerk. She handles all residential purchase, sale and refinance transactions. With more than 20 years of real estate experience she thrives in the chaos of a transactional practice.
Klara Lallinaj

Klara is a licensed paralegal and real estate clerk. She joined our firm in June 2023. Klara assists our team with residential interim closings as well as commercial refinance transactions, acquisitions and dispositions.
Deeksha Patel

Deeksha first joined our firm as an intern law clerk in May 2024. She completed her Law Clerk program at Humber College in October, 2024. Currently, Deeksha assists our team with all file intake matters and accounting related matters.
